Looking for some quick work at home?
Home Page

You are not alone

Option 1
  • Don't make any effort to read any warnings.
  • Sign up and pay for whatever 'schemes' attract you.
  • You will be ripped off.
  • You might not have stayed long enough to read even this far!

Option 2   If you are looking for some "quick work" to do at home then at least visit these pages:

A quick word about Outworking or Piece work

Manufacturers:

  • who employ homeworkers do not need to advertise for homeworkers because they usually have a waiting list!
  • usually only employ people local to their premises
  • provide the equipment and tools needed
  • do not charge a deposit or fee of any sort

To find an assembly or piece work job at home look through your local phone book for manufacturers and 'phone around - you may be put on a waiting list. Word of mouth is better still.

DO NOT PAY A FEE TO DO THIS KIND OF WORK!

Option 3   This website is mainly about finding fulfilling work at home and about making lifestyle changes and NOT about stereotypical homeworking such as so-called envelope stuffing etc.

If you are new to the idea of homeworking then you would do well to work through the free pages of this site.

Base yourself at the Main Index (Library) and start off with the Personal issues, then Work and then the Practicalities.

There is enough information on this website to help you get started onto a successful and rewarding path that doesn't rely on you trying to con other people and where you will avoid being ripped off yourself.

Have you bought a home computer and are determined to earn a bit of extra money with it? We are aware that there are a lot of people in this position. There are NO quick schemes or jobs.

Do you have a financial crisis and are looking for some extra income. Of course extra income would help, but until the magic fairy starts waving a wand then face up to your financial situation and concentrate on our Debt page.

Short Story
"I want to work at home, tell me what I can do or what there is available, or give me the names of companies that offer homeworking jobs?"

We often hear those questions to which we come up with the usual suggestions in our Forum which some people understand and others don't.

In short, homeworking is about the place that you work and NOT about the type of work.

Here is a short story which might help to explain better:

You are looking for work at home but it is like being a gardener and wanting to be told which plants to put in your own garden.

Answers depend on how big is your garden; what type of soil do you have, is there a lot of sun or just in certain parts; do you want a full scale re-design or to just put in some filler plants, are you looking for some colour or some hardy plants that last year in and year out; and how do you want to use your garden? Even if we knew all that, it still comes back to what you fancy as the gardener of your own life.

Sure, it would be nice to have someone just give you a list of employers who employ people to work at home; just like if someone made some recommendations about good gardening centres you can use to buy plants. But what use is that if you are on the other side of the world let alone the other side of the country.

Even then, the suggestion being made would only wilt and die if you were to try and plant it in the wrong soil.

What works for one person may not work for another.

However there are some general gardening tips. The same goes for working at home. Once you have worked out what sort of garden you have and what you want for it you can then look at the different options available.

Like gardening there are no easy options. I could shout out:

Get your garden of paradise

only £35!!!

Buy now and save £499

This is 100% genuine and has a 100% money-back guarantee. Unlike other offers this is not a scam and we promise, really... cross my heart I do, I do. We will not pass your contact details onto other scammers. We don't promise you will be rich or anything silly like that but with our kit you will be earning enough to buy a car, sit on beaches fiddling with your laptop computer whilst the nanny takes care of your beautiful and clever children. With our scheme you will be very happy and have beautiful teeth and all your debts will be paid off. But we are not a get rich quick scheme. You see, told you we won't scam you. You will have to work very hard though, oh, about 10 minutes a day in between being with your darling children or gorgeous partner. To get started now to take advantage of this fantastic offer of work send your money to .....

and once you have read a little of the small print you might be convinced it was genuine and OK; send off your £35 and then get little or nothing in return, and definitely not what was promised.

The trouble is there are so many people out there shouting do this or do that and earn 500-1500 a week (you can put your own currency mark in there!) that we think we are missing out on something not working at home.

Or, we think we have invested in a computer and internet and now want to make it earn some money but it doesn't work like that. A bit like saying I have invested in some expensive garden tools/equipment and want to earn some money from them!

And then there are those people who bless them, on the one hand, are prepared to work hard, but only want to type for someone else, be told what to do and get paid for it. This is exactly what the scammers tap into and exploit. If you are gardening your own garden it can be very hard work, but you still need to plan and keep planning and basically managing the garden.

Put yourself into the shoes of employers. They do not want to employ homeworkers. They want to employ someone to do a job for them, so they do not advertise for homeworkers. If you see directories offering jobs for homeworkers then someone is making money selling you information and you will still be no further.

If you want to find out what people do at home then look at the Case Studies link at the top of the Forum. If you want to get some idea then click on the Main Index link at the top of the Forum and look through pages such as: Not sure where to start?; Ideas for work; List of ideas and contacts and Network Marketing just for starters. And if you are looking for extra money at home because of debts then working at home is NOT the answer and you have to look at our Debt Advice link at the top of the Forum.

After you have looked through those and considered your own situation, look through this Forum and read what people say and if you like their style and ethics then look in their Profile to see what they do or for further contact details. They might be running the sort of business or work at home that would suit you.

This is your garden, your garden has its needs but you can also be creative and enjoy your gardening. And like a garden it takes time for your work at home to mature and develop into a decent income.

If you manage to land a teleworking job where you are paid by an employer then you are up and running. If you start a network marketing business or similar then IF it takes off, expect it to take at least six months before seeing a return for your efforts but in the longer term a better return. If you start off small offering a service or product then expect it to land a few small jobs or contracts but that it can be up to 5 years before you start to see a very decent income and 10 years to be very comfortable.

Are you sure working at home is still for you?
